| Background Statement: | Unitarian Universalist Congregations have supported gay rights since 1970, the year after Stonewall. There was no denominational controversy regarding the ordination of our GLBT ministers. Each congregation has the option of becoming a Welcoming Congregation, a process that involves study, congregational discussion, and a vote. UUC Green Valley is a Welcoming Congregation. |
